Bulbs
We
recommend replacing Conversion Bulbs after 12 months of use.
After 12 months of growing time your conversion bulbs are only
putting out half as much light as new bulbs will. Your eye will
not notice it, but you will see a difference in how your plants
grow after replacing your old bulb. As with metal halide bulbs
and standard HPS bulbs, light output decreases over time, but
you still use the same amount of electricity.
Conversion
bulbs are sold for both Metal Halide and HPS lights. Conversion
bulbs are used as follows:

To convert a 400 watt Metal Halide system to HPS use a 360
watt MH-HPS conversion bulb
To convert a 1000 watt Metal Halide system to HPS use a 940
watt MH-HPS bulb
To convert a HPS system to Metal Halide
To convert a 400 watt HPS system to Metal Halide use a 400 watt
HPS-MH bulb
To convert a 1000 watt HPS system to Metal Halide use a 1000
watt HPS-MH bulb
