SS VI Switchable Ballast with socket set
Independant plant studies have shown that plants grown under metal halide bulbs in the early stages of growth with HPS in the later stages (flowering) are consistantly healthier with larger fruit and more final yield than plants grown under HPS bulbs or MH bulbs exclusively.

The switchable ballast allows you to easily switch from MH to HPS lighting. Just insert your favorate MH lamp and set the switch on the ballast to the "MH" position. When it is time to change over to HPS simply take out the MH lamp, insert the HPS lamp and change the switch to the "HPS" position.

Because the ballast can use standard bulbs instead of conversion bulbs the grower benefits two weays. The first is way is in money savings- standard lamps cost about half as much as conversion lamps. The second benefit is that standard bulbs have a better lumen pakage than conversion bulbs.

Each switchable ballast has these features:

• Key Way Handle - Makes it easy to carry, or hang on a wall!

• Switchable Voltage - All Sun System I ballasts now come standard with a voltage selection switch. Its easy to switch from 120v to 240v power! Simply flip the switch, and swap power cords.

• High Temp Capacitor - Sunlight Supplys ballasts come with a high temperature rated capacitor. Most of their competitors are using cheaper 85 or 90 degree caps. If there is a component failure in a ballast, 9 times out of 10 you will find it is the capacitor. 100 degree caps are more expensive, but they can vastly increase the life and reliability of a system.

• High Quality Transformer - The grow light ballast Sunlight manufacture's use only the highest quality, domestic name brand ballasts and components. (The Sun System X utilizes a high quality import system, but retains the domestic high temp capacitor as a standard).

• UL Listed - Sunlight Supply has gone to great lengths to insure thier products are safe and reliable. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) sets the standard for fixture testing. They conduct extensive tests before giving their seal of approval on a product, making sure it complies with their strict standards. All SS VI ballasts are UL listed.

• Detachable Lamp Cord Set - Sunlight Supplys ballast offers the convenience of the detachable lamp cord. This allows you to easily seperate hood from ballast for mobility and ease of maintenence. Some competitors have products that are hard wired, and often difficult to work with.

All remote ballasts have a 5 year warranty during which the unit will be rebuilt or replaced. The warranty covers any failure due to defective components and/or workmanship. Modifications or misuse voids the warranty.
